Based on the total power of the main engine or aux engine on board, the company provides a detailed checklist of the entire equipment set that covers the whole fuel oil system and its matching auxiliary systems (including thermal system, separation system and control system) to make it easy for customer/designing body to make their type selection. The table of reference for type selection of package equipment set ensures that the type meets customer’s actual requirements in his use and has the optimum ratio of performance v s price.

Boiler type shall be based on the main engine’s actual power. Where heat conducting oil boiler is used heat sink unit is not used
Where single m/c unit is used for fuel separation, one shall have to order additional spare parts
In case of oil tanker or vessel for shipping chemicals, the liquid boiler shall be needed for the heating system apart from the heavy oil systems of main/aux engines. Normally the fuel oil steam boiler or heat conducting oil boiler is selected for the purpose. Type and spec of the boiler shall be based on the vessel’s tonnage and specific requirements. Heavy oil equipment set as listed in above table does not include the liquid boiler.
